How to submit the candidacy so that, although it isn’t the best, it stands out?

One of the competences more demanded, beyond the professions related to the image, is the creativity. It’s useful not only for the presentation of documents, but also to face different daily situations. One of the ways to prove we have this skill is when we are applying for a new job. We can give a sample with our portfolio.

The portfolio can be an option to present documentation we can deliver in an interview to reinforce the candidacy, which will make it different from the others. Besides delivering it, we must explain why we are bringing it and what it contains:

  • CV personalised in 1 only page, not only what we have done, but to reflect all we can do. It is possible they already have the CV, so we can make it in another more creative format, which proves we have this skill.
  • Put an index and the letter of each one.
  • Detail specific qualification required for the position.
  • Post published that refers to the position applied.

This documentation is provided in a dossier, a customised folder, that we will deliver to recruiters and it will take into account when they will be in they finish interviews. Our candidature, although it won’t the best, it will be different and for this reason it will stand out.

Once the position is achieved, we must remain attentive, not relax and continue whenever we can with training, personal branding and networking.
